Last Wednesday we flew to Portland to vacation with my sister, Jennifer, and her family. We went to Seaside and enjoyed AMAZING weather. I was really worried about the weather because the forecast said the highs would be in the 50's. Not what I had in mind for my beach vacation but it ended up being in the 70's with really cold mornings and clear blue skies and SUNSHINE the rest of the day. The kids had so much fun with their cousins. We played in the sand, went to the aquarium (separate post), and swam in the (heated) pools. (I guess I didn't take any pictures at the pool. Probably because we had our hands full with 6 kids!) Earl and Andy were crazy enough to go swimming in the FREEZING ocean one morning. I didn't even get my toes wet but we saw a sign that posted the ocean temperature at 55 degrees! Needless to say they were the only ones in the ocean. I'm sure everyone on the beach dressed in coats and pants thought they were nuts.
So here are a bunch of pictures from the trip. It was Ella's first plane trip and the kids were great on the way there. The way home was a different story... they were awful! It was a night flight and I thought they would sleep the whole way home. WRONG! They whined and cried almost the entire flight. Braden fell asleep the last 20 minutes. I'm sure everyone wanted off the flight, including me.
