Braden has had 2 wiggly teeth for the past few weeks. Last night as I was re-brushing his teeth before bed, I noticed that one of them was hanging by a thread. I asked him if he wanted me to pull it out or if he wanted to. He said he wanted me to do it but he wanted to wait for Daddy. He agreed to wait until breakfast the next morning since Andy was up in Ogden working on the house. So this morning before breakfast Andy tried to pull it out but it wouldn't budge. I tried but still no luck. Seriously the tooth was just dangling there and finally Andy pulled it out. He was so excited when it happened. One of the first things he said was, "Now I get to sign my name on the big tooth when I go back on-track!" In Mrs. Johnson's class they have a "big tooth" and you get to sign your name on it when you lose a tooth. He had one in Kindergarten and was bummed he never got to sign it. I think he'll lose another one this next week so many he'll be able to sign his name twice!
It's a little sad that he's starting to lose his baby teeth. There's something about those cute little teeth that I love. He's excited for the tooth fairy to come. I asked him what the tooth fairy was going to leave him. He said, "One hundred dollars!" I had surprised reaction and he laughed and said, "I'm just kidding! She's going to leave me twenty dollars." I think that is what his friend's tooth fairies have left them so he really thinks that's what you get. Is that the going rate these days? I think I got fifty cents for my first tooth. I think he'll be at the mercy of whatever the tooth fairy has on a Sunday.
