Wow! We had a busy Saturday. Andy woke up early and went on a run. He came back and prepped the garage to paint it. I took the kids to Taylor's private gymnastics lesson while Andy painted the garage and he met us after her lesson and we headed up to Honeyville to visit Andy's parents. It was fun for the kids to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house since it has been a while since we've been there. We had tickets to go to the Brigham City Temple open house at 7:30pm.
The kids remembered going to the Draper and Oquirrh Mountain Temple open houses but unfortunately they only remembered the cookies. That was 3 years ago and I was 8+ months pregnant with Lily. I was excited to go with the kids and hoped (at least for the older ones) they would remember more than just the cookies. We parked and caught the bus to go do the tour. We forgot our camera to take pictures of the kids in front of the Temple. I was hoping to get some pictures with our phones but we didn't have time before we went in. By the time we were done with the tour it was dark so we did our best to take some pictures to remember the occasion. I loved being in the Temple with my family. The kids loved seeing all the beautiful chandeliers, the baptismal font, and the circular windows with the peach blossoms. I hope my kids remember this experience and the feelings they had so they will have the desire to go inside again someday.
