We, meaning Andy, finished our last house project before we put the house up for sale. Our laundry room is tiny and very dysfunctional with no cabinets or storage. It was one of the first things I wanted to change when we first moved in. It is actually what started the whole master closet redo as we decided to do a "test run" with the closet before tackling the laundry room. The conversation that got the ball rolling with the whole DIY thing with our house started with the laundry room over a year ago. We got it priced out to have cabinets built into it and I couldn't stomach the price tag for such a small space. Andy said four little words that have changed our entire life. "I can built it!" I started designing the space and Andy read Fine Woodworking magazine and off we went. We ended up starting with the master closet because we thought it would be a smaller project to start on (it ended up being bigger). We started the laundry room project before we had decided to even put our house on the market and ended up listing it a week after we finished it. During the process of building Andy found his dream lot to build on. Andy built all the cabinets from scratch. It's amazing! I can't wait until we start building our house. Andy is going to build all the cabinets in the kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms, built ins in the family room and all the closets. It's going to be so much work but so much fun to design everything.
