We called Snowbird home for 2 weeks as we transitioned from our house to our rental. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo at the Cliff Lodge at snowbird and kept up with normal life with Andy's work and the kids activities. I was worried about how the 2 weeks would go. The week (and month) leading up to this was quite stressful, crazy, and exhausting as we packed our whole lives into PODS. Can I just say that this was the worst move we've ever experienced. I don't know if it's the fact that the last time we moved we had basically nothing, or the fact that Andy had food poisoning, or because we own the heaviest furniture known to man but we were spent. Physically, mentally, and emotionally spent. Snowbird actually was the perfect break from reality for us. It was beautiful, relaxing, and a great place to call our temporary "home." Everyday was the same routine. I would take the kids to the playground, take a short hike loop on our way home, eat lunch, go to the pool for the rest of the day until Andy got home, make dinner, and the kids would watch tv every night before bed while Andy was out running a new trail on the mountain. He was in heaven with the cooler temperatures and the endless amount of running trails while the kids were in heaven with cable tv. I don't let them watch tv much and we don't have cable so they loved watching all these shows their friends talk about. I think they would say cable tv was the best thing about Snowbird if you asked them. The second week I got passes for the slides, trampolines, rock wall, etc. for 2 days and we had so much fun doing all the activities all day long. We were exhausted. I think we were the first ones there and the last ones to leave both days. So many fun memories made! I think the kids will always remember the "Summer we lived in Snowbird..."
