Carving pumpkins isn't my favorite thing to do but the kids love it so that's what matters. The kids didn't have school on Friday so we carved them after breakfast. Last year I gutted the pumpkins while the kids were at school and then we carved them. Much faster way to do it but since the kids didn't have school and Andy was at work we just took our time and got them done. The kids really wanted to gut them this year since I did it last year but I quickly learned why I did it last year. They were all on the verge of throwing up when they were emptying their pumpkins. I didn't need a bigger mess on my hands so they just watched as I gutted them. Note to self...gut pumpkins while kids aren't home. Braden and Taylor carved theirs all by themselves. They all drew their own designs and had a lot of fun turning their pumpkins into jack-o-laterns.
