What a wonderful day for my (not so) baby girl to get baptized! Lily really wanted to be baptized on her birthday like Ella but her birthday didn't fall on the first Saturday of the month so she settled for getting baptized on my birthday! She is such a special girl with a tender heart. She was so excited to get baptized. Our goal with each of our children is to finish the Book of Mormon as a family before they get baptized. We succesfully accomplished it the week before. Andy was supposed to conduct the baptism but we were happy that Bishop Park was able to be in town so Andy could just be with Lily the whole time. I guess I was happy Bishop was there even though he asked me to get up and bear my testimony. That was a little nerve wracking and I'm not quite sure what I said but I was glad for the opportunity to share my testimony with so many family members present. There was a sweet spirit during the baptism. Grandma McCune gave the talk on the Holy Ghost, Aunt Marlyse lead the music, and Uncle Jeremy said the closing prayer. It was nice to have so much support from our family and I know Lily felt loved. I'm so grateful for the wonderful blessing of having the knowledge of Heavenly Father's plan, my testimony of His gospel, the opportunity to be a mother and teach and raise my children in the gospel, and the atonement of Jesus Christ that makes it all possible. Nothing brings me more joy and happiness than this.
