First Day of School

This summer was a summer of changes and it flew by so fast. This is the first year where I was so nervous/anxious sending my kids to their new schools. Would they like it? Would they make friends? I felt like this would be the make it or break it with the transition. For the first time in a long while the move felt so new again. The kids were excited to go. Andy gave them priesthood blessings that were so specific to each of their needs and worries. This school year will be a fresh start for each of the kids and I hope it will be a good one. It takes time for everything to settle in but the first week was full of ups and downs for the kids. Braden is going to a brand new high school which has made his transition great for him with friends and sports. He has been doing XC all summer and has had a great time running. Taylor is at the hard age of 13 and 8th grade. She was the one I worried about the most but I think with time she'll adjust and love it. She has a positive attitude and has been open minded to change. The girls are at elementary together for 4th and 6th grade and have amazing teachers and have made great friends. I hope it will be a great year!
