It's Sunday Again...

I remember having a conversation with Andy's Grandma Moutray where she mentioned that it always felt like it was Sunday. The week days fly by and then it's Sunday again. Can anyone relate?? So that is how my life has felt the last little bit. I really should have titled this post "Changes, Changes, and More Changes." (Or maybe (Meetings, Meetings, and More Meetings") That is how life has been for Andy lately. Andy has been the 11 year old Scout Leader for over a year (since last July) and was finally starting to get it down with it completely scheduled out for one year (the time each boy is in it). We were talking one night after he got home from scouts and he was talking about how he feels like he finally knows what he's doing and was starting to enjoy the calling more. I told him if he was starting to get 'comfortable' with the calling that he would probably get released. That's how it works, right? So that Saturday, September 26th (I know, I'm way behind on blogging) he got a call saying that a member of the Stake Presidency wanted to meet with both of us the next morning. He was convinced they were going to give me a calling. So we go and he is extended the call to be 2nd counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency. He was very excited about the calling. The Sunday he was called was Ward Conference, the next week was General Conference, so their first official Sunday as a new Presidency was October 11th. The next week was Stake Conference. On Saturday, October 24, Andy got a call for us both to meet with a member of the Stake Presidency again. He was convinced that this time it was for me to get a calling. Well, he was wrong again. They ended up splitting our ward and creating a new ward. We are in the new ward and Andy was called to be the Executive Secretary in the Bishopric. He's been Ward Clerk before so he was really excited for this new calling. So there you have it. Andy has had 3 callings in one month. Does that set a record? I'm not sure but I do know that he's never been to so many meetings between being in a newly formed Elder's Quorum Presidency and a newly formed Bishopric. He really does love it.

And because a post isn't a post without a picture. Here is a picture of Lily from today sporting her first piggy tail. I know she could have had one coming home from the hospital but there is something about the soft 'newborn' head. I just couldn't do it...until now. Today was the day. After her bath she took a nap and woke up and her hair was sticking up like a peacock. I got her hair wet and it was still out of control. So I got a hair elastic and there you have it, her first of many piggy tails. Isn't she the cutest little 4 month old?
