This year seemed like a big anniversary. I don't know if it's because 11 is my favorite number or what but I was looking forward to saying, "We've been married for 11 years!" We didn't have any big plans since I had been feeling lousy with a sinus infection the week an half prior. But 2 days before I started feeling a bit better so Andy booked Saturday afternoon tickets to go see a Kurt Bestor Christmas concert. We had been 2 years before and really enjoyed it but this year was so much better. The guest performer was American Idol, Jason Castro. He was one of my favorites from his season so it was fun to see him perform live. He only did 3 songs but they were great. Before Jason performed he and Kurt were up on stage having a short conversation about what he had done or seen since he came to Salt Lake. Then Kurt asked him about if he had any Jello. He was confused and said, "Jello?" Then Kurt said, "What about funeral potatoes?" I think Jason thought it was a joke and said, "What? Funeral... Potatoes?" The entire audience was laughing at this point and Kurt told him he would get some and have them in his dressing room before the next show. Jason had a funny look on his face and said, "Ok Kurt, now you're scaring me." It was too funny!
Later that night we were talking about the past 11 years and everything we've done and accomplished and started talking about the next 11 years. Braden will be 18 and done with high school, Taylor 16, Ella 14, and Lily 12. I got teary eyed so we had to stop talking about it. The past 11 years have been wonderful but they have come and gone so quickly that it made me sad to think the next 11 years will do the same. Regardless, I can't wait for the adventure!
Love you Babe!
