Andy ran the St. George Marathon on October 2nd. He had a sprained left ankle and a right achilles problem and still managed to qualify for Boston with a time of 2 hours, 59 minutes, 46 seconds. It was his worst time but he still met his goal of qualifying for Boston. I think it was amazing that he finished with all his injuries and who would complain about having a sub 3 hour marathon? Not me.

Andy's brother, Aaron, and my brother-in-law, Earl also ran it. It really wasn't the best year to run the marathon considering the start time temperature was the hottest in the history of the marathon. After Andy finished he said, "That was my last marathon. I don't think I'll do another one, not even Boston." He always says this after each and every marathon he has ran, even his very first one. I teased him and said, "I guess that means you'll be running another one!" We'll see if I'm wrong...
