It starting snowing/raining the week before Halloween. Very bad timing since we hadn't picked our pumpkins yet. I'll just say it was a muddy, muddy mess. We didn't stay long, just long enough to take a few pictures, pick our pumpkins, and get our shoes (very) muddy.
We waited until Saturday to carve our pumpkins. A tradition I haven't particularly enjoyed in the past but this time was a lot better since it held the kids' interest the entire time. Braden and Taylor drew the faces they wanted for their jack-o-laterns and Ella just drew all over her pumpkin, literally. Lily was content sitting in her chair watching all the excitement. Braden wanted to keep the seeds so we can plant our own pumpkins next year. I threw out the seeds but promised the kids we would plant our own pumpkins next year.
