We broke tradition this year with Thanksgiving. Andy is always on call and I end up taking the kids to the hospital and we have it there. It's great. Really great. We show up. Eat great food. Hang out. Then go home. No grocery shopping, prepping, cooking, or clean up. It's really great. We love that tradition. This year Andy wasn't on call so we hosted it! Five of Andy's six siblings and their families were here and his parents. We missed Chris, Marlyse, and their boys. We even had Grandma Moutray come up from St. George. With almost 40 people I decided to book the clubhouse and have it there. It worked out so well. The weather was beautiful and the kids had a lot of fun playing on the playground and tennis/basketball court. We had plenty of great food and enjoyed everyone's company. A few came back to the house and hung out for a while. Lyndsie, Tyson, and their girls stayed until late. Lyndsie and I even tried out black Friday (really Thursday) shopping. We definitely decided it was overrated and not for us. Pretty crazy but we still had fun! We also broke tradition with not going up to Honeyville for the annual pumpkin shoot. We were tired and decided not to go.
I love Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for and being with family reminded me of a few of the greatest blessings in my life. Thanks Miller family for making it such a wonderful Thanksgiving!
