Braden came home after the first week of school and told me he wanted to run on the x country team. I was shocked at first but I was super excited for him to want to spend his free time running. I think individual sports teach you how to be disciplined, set goals, and you become confident and stronger as a result of putting in a lot of hard work. He has one more meet next week and has done such a great job for only running a month. He runs 2-3 miles after school everyday for practice. Each school hosts a meet and they run a 2 mile course. He's a good little runner and has done great! I'm proud of him for keeping with it. I'm sure it's not always fun to run all those miles in the record heat we've had this month. It has been a great experience for him and he keeps talking about how he wants to run with dad so he can be even more ready for next year.
