Student of the Year!

Taylor was awarded Student of the Year for 5th grade! She is very deserving of this award and we are so proud of her. Andy wrote a biography that was read as she received her award.

"Last month Taylor approached us and told us she was “definitely” running for SBO and the office of President.  That same day she produced a 2 page letter she had written by herself to the faculty of the school and asked us to proof read it.  Soon thereafter she approached us with a script that she would use to put together a video to present her platform to the student body.  Her video included a very creative and thought out cast and presentation utilizing the Star Wars theme.  She used words like awesome, fun, and amazing to describe what her creation would become.  She recruited friends and her brother to help with the video. This process and the way she tackled it is very representative of Taylor’s character and ambition. She is self-motivated.   She approaches everything she does with passion and with her full energy.  Taylor enjoys participating in many different types of activities.  She loves to read and often can be found in her room reading a book.  She spends time each day playing the piano and has improved dramatically since she first started playing 3 years ago.  She loves soccer, gymnastics and is an accomplished tumbler.  She spends countless hours each week on her hands doing back handsprings, front and back walkovers, aerials, back flips, among other tumbling exercises.  Taylor is very aware of others around her and is very thoughtful. She is a loyal friend.  Taylor’s energy and enthusiasm for life is contagious and quickly spreads to all who spend time with her.  We are very proud of her.  Congratulations Taylor!  We love you!"
