This girl. Man, she's pretty great. She is wise beyond her years and has perspective that most adults don't have. And that combination helps her to thrive through all these "tween" years because she doesn't sweat the small stuff. I'm amazed at her confidence and maturity. She made the school soccer co-ed team. It has been hard to be a 6th grade girl on a very dominating 8th grade boy team. I thought at one point she'd quit but she's sticking with it and has played all but one game when the coach told her that the 6th grade girls wouldn't play this year. I think that has helped her to hold her head up when she has boys on her own team trash talking her during practice. It has been a good character building experience for her to say the least. She has good school friends and church friends. She wanted her school friends to come over and hang out to celebrate her birthday. She is so excited to go to Young Womens and start babysitting. Her first YW activity will be a huge missionary activity that they've put together where they go to a member's home with their assigned companion, eat dinner, and give a lesson about the Restoration. I wasn't sure if Taylor would want to do that but sure enough, Taylor had already talked to her Beehive leader last week so she'll be ready to go. She loves to read. I think she is reading a book a day! She has monthly goals that she has by her bed. Taylor knows who she is and what she wants in life and I'm privileged to have a front row seat to see her accomplish it all. Love you Taylor!!
