I call Taylor my "Girly Tomboy" and it fits. She loves to dress up in her Cinderella and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) dresses but she also loves to make messes and get dirty. So you would think it would be a tough decision for her to decide whether to go play in the dirt or to play dress up. The other day she was faced with this decision when the weather was pleasant (above freezing) and the snow in the backyard was melting. Andy decided with the "beautiful" weather he was going to take the kids outside to play while he grilled up some chicken. Her favorite place to play outside is in the flower bed aka--a bunch of dirt--well, maybe more like mud! I was surprised when she took off her dress willingly and got dressed in play clothes and went outside. A few moments later she sneaked back inside, got her Cinderella dress back on, and tried to go back out to play in the dirt. She threw a fit when she got caught because she couldn't have her way! She's a girl who knows what she wants. There was going to be no compromise, she was going to have both--dress up and dirt! Maybe I should start calling her my stubborn girly tomboy! She's almost 3 and already has everything figured out!
