It's Official

Ella is a big girl... although she only has 12 of her 20 baby teeth, weighs about 20 lbs, sleeps in a crib, sometimes takes a nap, sometimes sits in her booster seat at the dinner table, likes to be "rocked like a baby," and is not quite two years old... she is potty trained!! I gave in a few weeks ago and fully committed last Tuesday and she has done great. I say "I" because she has been using the toilet since she was 16 months old and probably would have been potty trained months ago if I would have committed. About a month ago she would take off her dry diaper and tell me she had to go potty and I would take her and she would go. I thought after 2 weeks of doing this without any accidents in her diaper that we were safe to try and she loves it. She knows she is a big girl and has to tell everyone she's wearing underwear. She has done great, only 2 accidents the first day and none since. None! That's with 3 hour church, an afternoon at Thanksgiving Point, and lots of errands to Target, Costco, Walmart, dropping/picking up kids from school, etc. And the best part, she doesn't have to be bribed like Braden and Taylor did! I guess washing her hands with 'bubbles' is enough for her. So I'll cross my fingers that it stays this easy and continue to be amazed by my little Ella.
