Girl Trapped

This morning the kids were sitting at the counter eating breakfast when Braden apparently noticed that he was surrounded by girls and said, "I'm girl trapped!" I had to laugh at the comment because he never talks about being the only boy. In fact, he has never wanted a brother. I think he uses it to his advantage because he'll get Taylor and Ella to play Star Wars with him and appoint them to be Padme Amidala Queen of Naboo and Ahsoka. (Don't worry, I have no idea who they are but Taylor and Ella know all about Star Wars.) When he wants to play alone he'll tell them that only boys can play. Taylor tries to use that tactic with Ella and tells her only girls can play and Ella's response, "I am a girl!" Nice try Taylor. It's only going to work for Braden. I going to go sign up the kids for baseball today. Another reason Braden doesn't need a brother. When I asked him if he wanted to play baseball he asked if Taylor could be on his team. He had no problem recruiting Taylor. Ella would join them if she was old enough!

I think Braden will be outnumbered by girls the rest of his life. I'm glad he's such a great brother to his sisters. They absolutely love them. I just hope he will always like being "girl trapped."
