Ella is THREE!!!

Wow! It hardly seems possible that three years ago Ella was born. She has been such a joy from day one. She is so tiny that it doesn't seem like she's big enough to be three but then when I think of how she talks and acts it feels like she's already three going on thirteen!

Ella was so excited about her birthday! She kept telling everyone she was turning five because she wants to be just like Taylor. She was certain that Grandma was going to get her sunglasses and a swimsuit. You could only imagine how thrilled she was when she opened the gifts and saw that there were sunglasses and a swimsuit along with other cute clothes and accessories. We opened presents before we had cake so she had a quick wardrobe change and was ready to go. I don't know if there is a record for how long it takes a three year old to blow out candles, but if there was one, Ella would probably win. According to the time when the pictures were taken it took her 48 seconds to blow three candles out! Needless to say she was very proud of herself for completing the difficult task all on her own.

We just love our little Ella! She is such a sweet little girl. She does a really good job keeping up with Braden and Taylor and always has the funniest things to say.

Some things I want to jot down so I remember Ella at three:

She loves gum and demands it every morning after we take the kids to school.
She has more laundry than the rest of us combined. She is wearing her third outfit of the day by 10 am.
She loves shoes, especially the dress-up ones.
She tries really hard to whisper but really can't. When I tell her to whisper she just talks slower. (She's getting better.)
She is the best at making messes but, fortunately, the best at cleaning up. She always picks up Braden's room because apparently the world is coming to an end if Braden has to clean up anything.
At every meal she says, "Oh no, I spilled!" because she always does.
She loves to play house. She can play pretend all day long by herself if she had to. She cries for all of her babies. Her pretend cry is so real that when Andy and I hear it we don't know if she's pretending or if it's for real.
She always tells me "Shh" as she paces the hallway trying to get her baby to sleep and then loudly tells everyone to keep quiet because her baby is sleeping. It makes me laugh every time.
She has elephant ears because she always thinks you're talking to her even if you're not and she's in a different room.
She picks out her clothes and decides how she wants her hair done. I usually can persuade her but it's getting tougher.
She loves to dance. Nothing better than watching her up on the coffee table dancing and singing "All the Single Ladies" pretending to be Eleanor from the Squeakquel.
She is tiny! I'm talking 24 pounds tiny! But I love every ounce of her. She is seriously the sweetest thing. Everyday she says, "I love you Mom!" and gives me a kiss, which really, does it get any better than that?
