I can't believe my Taylor girl is SIX!!!
Taylor is my little artist. She is constantly coloring, painting, drawing, making books, cards, anything that she can create and will spends hours each day doing so. She makes cards for everything. (We're talking Happy Groundhog's Day cards for the bus driver.) She loves to surprise us with notes under our pillows. When Grandma and Papa were here she had a few weeks worth of cards under their pillows waiting for them. ;) At breakfast she'll ask me if I got my surprise under my pillow. She'll giggle then give me a hug. She is the sweetest thing ever!
Taylor is very focused and determined. (Some may call it being stubborn but I think we've known since she was born if we were able to guide the 'stubbornness' great things could come from it.) She is very sensitive and very attentive to details. I love to watch her skip home from the bus and the moment she sees me she starts running. As she gets closer she starts telling me all about her morning at Kindergarten and doesn't leave out a single detail. She has an amazing "McCune" memory and can recall things from the past 4 years. At some point in the day I'll hear her say, "Mom, remember when...." and she'll rattle off all the details of a specific event. It's amazing.
As much as I try to not let her grow up it's happening. She wants to do her own hair, pick her clothes, make her own sandwiches, pour the milk into her cereal, anything she can do to show her independence. I'm just glad she still wants to sit on my lap and have me scratch her back before she goes to bed.
Happy Birthday little loves!
(And please note her gorgeous white blonde hair in the last picture. She hates the color of her hair and wants to cut it because she thinks it will turn brown like Rapunzel's.)
