Our House: Week 37

What a week!  Trim/interior doors were finished up downstairs.  I filled the wood holes to my hearts content sanded everything and will start caulking all the trim this next week.  Chris did the fireplace and did a fabulous job interpreting my chicken scratch drawings.  It looks beautiful and I'm so glad I told Andy we weren't doing stone on the fireplace.  It's exactly what I wanted and Andy's happy with the way it turned out too!  I chose the countertops but haven't ordered them yet because they have to come out and measure.  Andy has been busy working on the cabinets and finished up the island so we can get the countertops order.  It takes 3 weeks for fabrication so we don't have much time.  I started ordering appliances.  So far we have bought the refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher.  The weeks are getting busier and busier.  On next's week list to do:  caulk, paint all the trim, finish cabinets, order counters, order tile, staircase railings, finalize all our sinks, order the oven, cooktop, and microwave.  It's going to be another busy week!  It's fun to see everything quickly coming together.  It's happening so fast I don't have time to change my mind and second guess things...it's a beautiful thing!!
