The big activity that was planned with everyone was going to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was so hot but we enjoyed a full day at the PCC with all the family. We started in Samoa. Aubrey and Taylor were chosen from the audience to taste the coconut water. Taylor spit it out because it tasted so bad. They both got a headband for participating. Then they had a guy climb the coconut tree and had a fire dance. Then watched the Canoe Pageant and got to see each of the Island Dancers. We were baking in the sun by this point. After we went to the Islands of Aotearoa and played a stick game. Then we went to the Islands of Hawaii and Fiji. They did the poi balls and I showed my girls my skills and did what I call the butterfly. It's one of the only things I remember from when I was a kid. We were running out of time so we took a canoe ride back to the entrance for the buffet. We ended up having a lot of time left after dinner and before the show so the kids played around on a grassy area while we waited. The show Ha Breath of Life was fantastic. The fire dancers with their grass skirts were the favorite. It was a fun day with everyone!
