Mud Room Progress

When we designed our house one of the things we drew in our "plans" was a separate mud room. After we took it to the architect to have it drafted he took it out. I was very adamant that we had an actual room and not a entry/hallway like the architect had changed it to. I was so excited to get this room done. After 2 years of living with an empty room and boxes for each person anything at that point would've been better than the system we had been living with. I'm usually pretty indecisive with things especially when it comes to decisions for the house. But not with this room. It's like I have been dreaming up the plan in my head for years. Andy took my ideas and brought them to life. He's a miracle worker I tell you. I really wanted a mirror and shiplap. Andy wasn't too sure on either but he went along with it. No regrets. It looks amazing! And the light fixture is like the cherry on top. It's perfect. I smile every time I walk passed. It is the smallest room in the house but it's definitely the most functional space and serves a great purpose in our lives. I love it. And can't wait for the doors and drawers to be painted and installed. Then it will be finished. I have to keep telling myself they didn't build Rome in a day...patience...it will all be worth it when it's done, whenever and whatever that means.
