Halloween always sneaks up on me. I have good intentions on starting the kids costumes early but they always seem to be up to the last minute deciding. We didn't go to the pumpkin patch this year because of Cross Country meets, bishopric meetings, mutual, soccer practice, games...it just gets busy. Ella wanted to be a poodle girl and I knew for certain Lily would want to be one as well. They are 2 peas in a pod and the best of friends but Lily was insistent on being Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. About 2 days before Halloween Lily told me she wanted to be a poodle girl like Ella. Of course! They looked so cute and I was happy with how the skirts turned out. Taylor wanted to be Thing 1 with the biggest, fluffiest tutu ever. I was so surprised because Taylor doesn't like anything frilly so as I was making the tutu while she was at school I kept thinking she's going to hate this. But sure enough, she got home and tried it on and loved it. The kids had fun carving pumpkins and it's nice for them to be old enough to carve them mostly on their own. I took the girls out trick-or-treating in the neighborhood and they had. We've had a beautiful fall so the weather was nice. We always come home to more candy than you could ever need but I guess that's the fun of it. Happy Halloween!
