... a girl that just turned four and has become emotionally unstable! SERIOUSLY! What is going on?? Taylor has always been my sweet, independent, tough tomboy. She used to let everything roll off her back and was in complete control of everything (not always a good thing). I would always hear my friends talk about their girls... emotional, sensitive, drama, etc... and always thought, that's definitely not Taylor. It seems like ever since she turned four that she has become so emotional, sensitive, whatever you want to call it. If you have been on the phone with me lately you have experienced one (or more) of these episodes. Should I just get used to it because that is what you have to deal with when you have girls? Or, is it just a phase and it will get better with time? I know it could be much worse and that I'm just getting a taste of how bad it could be, but I just want my easy-going Taylor back.
On a completely different note, I just have to share this story. On Wednesday I was making dinner and the kids were outside playing. After about 20 minutes I hear Taylor coming up the steps to come inside saying, "Mom, look what I found! It was sleeping on the bark. Can we keep it?" in her sweet, little voice. Red flags when off in my head imagining what she found so I ran to the door to see that she was holding ever so gently in her hands.... a dead mouse! I scream because I thought it was alive and told Taylor to throw it outside. She did and immediately switched into emotional mode and began telling me how the mouse was so mean to her and was going to eat her and on and on and on. I guess I should be proud that she still has some tomboy-ness in her.
And since this post is about Taylor I thought I should jot down a few cute "Taylor-isms."
{what it is- what Taylor calls it}
dandelion- a Disneyland flower
hose- a water cleaner
frosty/milkshake- chocolate cream
chipped fingernail- a scraggle
