Look Who's TWO!!!

The Birthday Girl

Ella singing Happy Birthday
Braden and Taylor helping her blow out the candles
So excited after opening her first present.
(And if you're wondering, she doesn't have pants on
because apparently you don't need pants to open presents,
just Dora underwear! Is she TWO or what?)
Braden and Taylor opening presents
Ella ripping off the tag on the swimsuit
Ella sporting her new swimsuit and purse

I can't believe that it was two years ago today that I gave birth to Ella. I can recall the whole event like it was yesterday. Ella has been such a joy to have in our family and I think it will be hard to not call her baby Ella anymore. If you ask her, "Ella, are you a big girl?" She replies, "No, I'm just Ella!" She used to say that she was baby Ella. So sad. She's growing up too fast.

It wasn't the greatest timing to have a birthday celebration but we made the best of it. I have been sick since Wednesday and Ella got sick yesterday and woke up with no voice this morning. It was kind of a crazy day as well because Taylor and Braden had their first soccer games this morning/afternoon. As the day went on Andy and Taylor weren't feeling well either. We ended up celebrating after Ella woke up very late from her nap. She loved all of her presents and was literally squealing in excitement as she was trying to talk since she had no voice. She wouldn't put her first card or present down from Great Grandma and Grandpa Moutray so she had Braden and Taylor open her presents from Grandma and Papa McCune. When they got to the purse she kept squealing, "My purse! My purse!" Ella loves swimsuits and always wears one at some point in the day. So needless to say when Taylor opened up the swimsuit from Grandma and Papa Ella ripped off the tag, took off her clothes, and put it on. I think on the video camera she said "I've got my purse and swimsuit, Daddy" a dozen times. Happy girl to say the least.

Thank you to all the Grandparents for the phone calls and presents! She definitely knew today was her birthday and even though she wasn't feeling well, I think she had a great day.

Happy Birthday, Ella! We love you!!

I now just realized that I haven't left a comment in ages on your blog. I do read it and look for updates often. I really like the family pictures. I hope the pregnancy is going well for you. Any names yet? Mark and I were talking yesterday about the chances of us having another kid (which are very slim) and if we by chance had another girl we are doomed. Names for girls are hard!
