Our House: Week 21

Another exciting week around here!  Plumbing is done.  Tubs are in.  HVAC has started.  We finalized our appliances and I found an awesome deal for some light fixtures for the girls room.  I had a moment of panic as we started to talk about drywall this week.  It's right around the corner (well, about a month away) but a good reminder that I really need to start finalizing all the details that keep my head spinning in circles.  The shingles for the roof were delivered on Friday and they start the roofing tomorrow morning.  We had a bit of snow over the weekend but the forecast is snow free for the next 7 days.  Perfect timing.  Chris will start installing windows this week.  I think Andy is beyond excited to have the house all dried in so he won't be doing any more snow shoveling inside.  Happy day!  HVAC should be done sometime this week.  We'll have the central vac plumbed after they're done.  Then the electrical will start.  I think they are coming on the 20th.  After that it's insulation, drywall, and then finish work, decking, flat work, painting, cabinets, doors, hardwood floors, carpet, tile, rockwalls, landscaping... holy moly, there's so much to do!  But I've really been able to see the light at the end of the tunnel now that we are more than half way through.  Andy is busier than ever trying to get the cabinets done so he'll be ready to paint after the finish work is done.  I just have to stop changing my mind so we can finalize the kitchen layout.  Luckily, the bathroom vanities have been keeping him busy but I'm running out of time.  We'll be designing the kitchen cabinets this week.  Fingers crossed that the third time is the charm otherwise I just might be out of luck or out of my mind.  Still a long way to go but things are pushing forward and the excitement is building.
