This week was another realization of how much our lives our revolving around our house right now. I went to St. George with the kids for my Dad's 70th birthday while Andy stayed behind to tackle the never ending list of house things to get done. All conversations I had with Andy while I was gone went something like this. "I was laying out the deck so I could know exactly how many boards to order since there's free shipping this week..." "Do you think you could go pick up this at Burton or Stock on Monday..." For better or for worse, it is what it is, and I know it is only for a time and our lives will go back to normal, eventually. Whatever normal is since it's been almost a year since things felt "normal." Not complaining though. Life is good. We went into this knowing it would be very involved and time consuming. It's one thing to say it, another thing to live it. We are living it and doing extremely well given the circumstances. I feel like we are on a roller coaster and have slowly been working our way to the top and are on the tippy top just before you go down and the ride really begins. The ride is about to begin. It's going to get (even more) busy, fun, stressful. I hope I'm ready.
Back to the house progress this past week. More windows installed, fireplace installed, deck framed and ready for decking, electrical started, and the roof has one spot over the garage that will be completed tomorrow.
