Our House: Week 42

I replayed one of my favorite quotes in my mind all week.  "Those who move forward with a happy spirit will find that things always work out."  (President Gordon B. Hinkley)  I reminded Andy of this quote last Sunday night as we were getting ready for a new start to a new week.  And then as I was at church singing the last verse, "Savior, may I love my brother as I know thou lovest me."  I felt that my prayers had been heard and answered and my troubled heart had been softened.  When we look back and think about the house building process I hope that this week outshines last week in our minds.  Because it should.  This has been a life changing process in many ways and I'm continually humbled that my Heavenly Father would use this house as a trial and blessing in our lives to teach us and help become who He wants us to be.

What a great week!  Wood floors are done!  They're darker than we pictured in our minds based off the sample but they're beautiful so I'm happy with them.  Plumbing is done!  Aaron was great and got everything done in 2 days.  Our driveway was supposed to be poured but the equipment broke.  He'll be back tomorrow and it should be done by Wednesday.  Always a bump in the road but it's fine.  The refrigerator/freezer will be delivered tomorrow and carpet is being installed Wednesday!  Andy's hoping to finish up painting the doors, cabinets, and the rest of the trim and then we'll be this close.  So very close!  We have some odds and ends to finish up but we're there.  The finish line is in sight.  I think it's going to be another awesome week.
