Our House: Week 28

Wow!  What a fun week for the house.  They started drywall on Tuesday and were done hanging it on Friday.  I didn't go see it until this afternoon and was blown away at the transformation the house has gone through this week.  It is so exciting!  The other big decision that was finalized was the stone for the exterior.  We have been trying to find the "right one" since August 1st!  I walked into a new stone place that we'd never been to and within 5 minutes I thought I had found "the one."  I was there for several hours looking at all the options and kept going back to that one.  Andy wasn't there with me so I took a bunch of pictures, chose the grout color, spacing, blend, etc. and hoped he would like it just as much.  Thankfully he did and we were able to move on.  Huge relief.  They start the exterior tomorrow so we were down to the wire to get that taken care of.  The drywall guys will mud and tape the sheetrock this week as well.  I can't wait to see the exterior.  It's feeling more real than it ever has.  It's so close but there is still so much to do.  We are hoping to be done the end of May.  I can't wait!!
