It's always hard to come up with Christmas gifts for your parents. Would you agree?? This year was no different but Andy had this grand idea for his parents. He called me early Wednesday morning from work and said, "I have a great idea for a Christmas present for my parents." I thought what on earth could it be because it was 7:30 in the morning. He went on to tell me that he wanted to take them to the Kurt Bestor Christmas Concert. So on Friday, the 12th, his parents came down and we went out to dinner at Market Street Grill and then drove over to the concert. We had amazing seats. We were in the 5th row, right in the middle. The first part of the concert was his traditional Christmas music which I loved. The second half was more of the rock and jazz type music which Andy and I didn't enjoy as much. Don't get me wrong, it was a great concert, we just love his traditional style. Oh, and did I mention that we had perfect seats to see his hands? When people play the piano I love watching their fingers move across the keys. One of the guest performers was Jenny Oaks Baker, a violinist, and she was fabulous. Another highlight was when Kurt Bestor played "Oh Holy Night" on the fuglehorn. We had a great night!
