Lots and Lots of SNOW!

Boy, did we get a lot of snow Christmas day!  When Ella went down for her nap Andy took Braden and Taylor outside to go play while he shoveled the driveway.  He ended up making a sledding hill for the kids on what used to be our front lawn.  He even carved out steps for the kids to walk up.  They had a blast and played for a few hours.  Braden came in first and wanted hot cocoa with 1 mini marshmallow.  Taylor came in shortly after and wanted hot cocoa meaning a little cocoa and lots of marshmallows.  I think if the kids continue to enjoy the snow it might not be a long winter after all.

{I'll have to take some pictures of our backyard.  It was really windy and we have some snow drifts that are at least 5 feet tall.  All you can see from the stairs going to the basement is the knob on the top of the railing.  And the balcony off our bedroom is completely full of snow all the way to the top of the railing.  The crazy thing is our balcony is covered by our roof!}

How fun!!! We are so jealous. My kids would love to live in the snow, have 4 seasons and all that good stuff. We can dream.
Tell the kids to build a bid snowman for their cousins in no snow Phoenix, AZ. (haha)

what a fun time. we have so much snow too that we were thinking on the same page. sledding in the front yard is the best. you don't have the go anywhere special and when the kids get cold they just come in.
